West Hills College-Lemoore

The second, larger and more populated campus of West Hills College (WHC) is located in Lemoore, California. This two-year public community college campus was established in 2002 and hosts more than 3,000 students. The original WHC campus, located in Coalinga, hosts just over 1,200 students and was established much earlier, in 1932. Additional classes are available to students through the satellite locations at Firebaugh and Lemoore Naval Air Station.

Offering on-campus dormitories, which only a handful of California community colleges do, attracts many international students. Because of this, WHC- Lemoore has a very comprehensive English as a Second Language (ESL) program available. Lemoore campus makes available two specific Bachelor’s degree programs through Fresno Pacific University as well as certain classes from a handful of major programs via videoconferencing through Fresno Pacific College.

Both WHC campuses have their own athletic programs. At Lemoore campus, male students are offered golf, wrestling and soccer. Female students may choose from golf, soccer, basketball or cross country. Other athletics may be added at any time.
