University of Colorado Denver

More than 27,000 students enter the halls of the University of Colorado Denver/Anschutz Medical Center and its two campuses. The Denver building is known as the Auraria Campus, and the Anschutz Medical Campus is in the city of Aurora. Students can also earn degrees by studying with the online programs.

The school has earned the reputation as the largest research university in the state and over the years has caught the attention of the research grant community to upwards of $375 million. No other school in Colorado delivers more graduate degrees. The area’s Children’s Hospital and other medical facilities such as the National Jewish Medical and Research Center work closely with the University of Colorado Denver. The university alone works with around 500,000 patients every year with its wide variety of clinical and hospital services.

The degrees offered at the school include areas of study such as engineering, culture, natural sciences, history, medicine, biomedical sciences – more than 115 degree programs in total. The Denver campus totals eight schools and colleges such as the College of Arts and Media, The School of Education and Human Development and the College of Architecture and Planning, among others.

UC Denver’s largest school in the downtown campus is the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. There are nearly 40 advanced degrees offered there.

UC Denver has the state’s only school of medicine and has Colorado’s largest graduate schools in both education and business.
