Stark State College of Technology

Stark State College of Technology (more commonly referred to as Stark State or SSC) is a public college located in Stark County, Ohio. Stark State enrolls approximately 16,000 students, with an additional 4,000 noncredit students enrolled in its contract training and continuing education courses.

Stark State offers 230 degree programs, options, and certificates in the fields of health sciences, information technologies, math and sciences, liberal arts, engineering technologies, education and human services, and business and entrepreneurial studies. SSC's programs culminate in Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, Associate of Technical Studies, Associate of Applied Business, or Associate of Applied Science degrees.

Stark State has an open admissions policy to anyone with a high school diploma (or equivalent). However, certain programs and departments require prerequisite training or experience.

SSC is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Many of Stark State's programs and departments have received specialized accreditation as well.
