Orange Coast College

Orange Coast College (OCC) is a community college located in Costa Mesa, California. It offers numerous associate's degree programs, certification programs, and lower-division courses designed to prepare students for transfer to a four-year institution. The college enrolls approximately 25,000 students, which makes it the third largest college in Orange County. OCC is part of the Coast Community College District, which also includes Golden West College and Coastline Community College.

OCC is dedicated to providing inexpensive vocational education in the skilled professions, trades, and licensed trades. The college also provides transferable and remedial courses, which can be transferred to a institution in the University of California system, the California State University system, or another institution. OCC is among the top transfer colleges in the United States. It is the top community college for transfer to campuses in the California State University system, and 5th in transfers to campuses in the University of California system. Out of over 5,000 community colleges in the country, OCC ranks 65th in awarding associate's degrees.

OCC is regionally accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Additionally, it has received special accreditation from the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology, the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education of the American Dietetic Association, and the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association.

OCC employs the latest online educational platform (Blackboard learn) to bring online classes and courses to its students. OCC students are able to complete many of their courses completely online as they work toward earning their degree.
