Mount Saint Mary’s College

A Catholic liberal arts school to consider is Mount Saint Mary’s College in California. The college began its mission in 1925 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. There are two campuses today, with one near downtown Los Angeles at North University Park and the other in Chalon in Brentwood.

Mount Saint Mary’s has a student body of mostly women, including as many as 95 percent of first-year enrollees. The freshman class is comprised of nearly 60 percent first-generation students and 75 percent of the students are minorities.

Mount Saint Mary College offers various online learning opportunities. They college now offers a RN to BSN degree entirely online. Other online courses are offered in art history, economics, psychology, labor relations, computer competency and literature.

Mount Saint Mary’s is listed in the Top 20 (among 574 college nationally) in U.S. News and World Report.
