Marion Military Institute

Marion Military Institute (MMI) is Alabama's official state military college. It is dedicated to preparing students for successful military and civilian careers.

MMI offers a range of unique military training programs, including the Army's Early Commissioning Program (ECP). This Army Reserve Officers Training Corps program gives qualified students the opportunity to earn a commission as a Second Lieutenant after just two years of college. MMI students can also enroll in the first two years of Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps. Additionally, the institute offers a Service Academy Preparation program (SAP), a program which prepares freshmen students, academically and physically, for entry into one of the Service Academies (Air Force Academy, Merchant Marine Academy, West Point, Coast Guard Academy, or Naval Academy). Marion Military Institute is one of only six Military junior colleges to offer these military training programs.

MMI is a member institution of the Alabama College Conference as well as the Association of Military Colleges and Schools of the United States. It is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees.
