Huntingdon College

Huntingdon College was established in 1854 as a co-educational college of liberal arts and is afffiliated with the United Methodist Church in Montgomery, Alabama. Huntingdon has many notable accolades including being ranked in the top liberal arts colleges in the Southeast as well as a “Best Value” college by the Princeton Review. In addition, the college has been named on the President’s Community Service Honor Roll for Higher Education and.

Huntingdon offers14 intercollegiate sports teams and over 20 undergraduate majors to choose from. They also have a Adult Degree Completion Program, which has helped increase college enrollment by more than 50%. Classes within this program can be accessed at over 10 locations throughout Alabama. The school offers very popular pharmacy, pre-medical and pre-law programs, which to a very high rate of student placement within careers, and with law, medical or pharmacy schools.

In addition to a strong academic program, Huntingdon College offers students the opportunity to get involved in a various student organizations. There are several Greek organizations on campus, the Bass Fishing Club, Running Club, Black Student Union, Voice of Justice, and International Student's Association among others. Students also have the opportunity to participate in the students campus publications which include The Gargoyle, the college's newspaper, The Prelude, Bells and Pomegranates the college's year book, or the Huntingdon College Magazine.

Huntingdon College is regionally accredited y the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) to award associate and bachelor's degrees. Credited earned at Huntingdon College can be transferred to any other regionally accredited higher education institution which include most four-year colleges and universities in the United States.

Currently, the college does not offer online degree or distance learning opportunities for its students. All programs are campus based and require attendance.
