Harvey Mudd College

Harvey Mudd College is a privately owned and operated college with a liberal arts concentration in mathematics, science, and engineering. The college’s four-year programs provide studies in many applied sciences, joint majors, and other interdisciplinary programs. It was opened in Claremont, California, over half a century ago. It shares its campus location with other colleges in the Claremont Colleges system.

All the schools in the Claremont Colleges system, including Harvey Mudd College, share their facilities and allow students access to most facilities at the other campuses. However, each school provides different faculty members for the classes, as well as different admittance procedures and independent boards of trustees and funding.

Harvey Mudd urges students to enroll in courses found at the other campuses in the Claremont Colleges system – especially non-major classes – since the university accepts these classes as academic credits as well. By sharing facilities and allowing students to enroll in classes across all the campuses, the Claremont Colleges system acts as a large university in regards to its resources and as an independent college in regards to its specialties and its acute attention to the students. Harvey Mudd College provides the graduating students with the diplomas for the Bachelor of Science.

Harvey Mudd College currently does not offer online degrees or distance learning programs via the Internet.
