Fort Hays State University

Fort Hays State University (FHSU) is a public university in Hays, Kansas, which serves a student body of over 11,000 students. Of Kansas' six state universities, FHSU is the fourth largest. More than half of its students study online via the school's "Virtual College".

FHSU is divided into four colleges: Health and Life Sciences, Business and Entrepreneurship, Arts and Sciences, and Education and Technology. All together, FHSU has 30 academic departments and offers 79 programs of study (60 undergraduate majors and 19 graduate programs). In addition to bachelor's and master's degrees, the university offers associate's programs in radiologic technology and office technology, preprofessional programs which prepare students for law or medical school, and specialist's degrees in a number of areas.

Online Degrees at Fort Hays State University
Many of FHSU's programs are available entirely online via the school's Virtual College. These online programs are particularly appealing to students with full-time jobs or family responsibilities, who are not able to attend classes on campus. There are 10 master's degree programs and 19 bachelor's degree programs available through FHSU's Virtual College, as well as a number of certificates and endorsements. The school's online programs in human resources, nursing, IT and computer science, and counseling are among the most affordable in the country. FHSU, and its Virtual College, are regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
