El Camino College

El Camino College, which is also known as “ECC” or “Elco,” is located in the Alondra Park area of Los Angeles County. The school services as many as 23,000 students of varied backgrounds. Students are enrolled from many local areas, including the cities of Hawthorne, Lawndale, Manhattan Beach and El Segundo, among others.

The classes offered are from wide variety of disciplines. Nearly 2,500 types of classes in more than 80 programs are available. Those courses follow study in areas such as honors, vocational and of course, undergraduate. El Camino College makes many of these classes available for distance learning or online.

One of the more well-known areas of study for El Camino College students is in English as a Second Language (ESL). It prepares students for continued education at the college level. The school’s forensics program is award-winning and often beats out four-year schools in competition.

Distanced education and online courses provide El Camino College students a convenient, flexible and affordable way to complete classes toward their degree while juggling a busy schedule. Online and hybrid (online and on campus) programs are available in a variety of fields and disciplines.
