Design Institute of San Diego
The Design Institute of San Diego has only one program. Being an interior design exclusive school, all students of this school are working towards their Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Interior Design. This is a huge benefit to anyone looking for a career in this field. The school is also relatively small, with only around 500 students. So everyone gets the one-on-one attention needed to succeed.Courses in general education make up about 25% of the program’s curriculum. The rest of the courses taken are geared toward design. This allows students a great opportunity to realize their creativity and to develop their skills in the craft of design.
Students wanting to earn their degree in less than four years can participate in the school’s Fast-Track Scheduling, which offers classes year round. Otherwise, students will be able to attend full-time up to two semesters a year and finish up their degree in right around four years.
Interested applicants will be required to participate in an initial applicant interview. Once you are accepted as an applicant, students will be required to produce an application, two references in this professional field, a form with all your personal information as well as high school transcripts. Then a second interview will be conducted to discuss your application packet.
