De Anza College

De Anza College is committed to the education of its students and with a budget of over one million dollars, offers a variety of areas of study for its enrollment. Students at De Anza College transfer to four-year schools consistently and the institute is ranked as one of the top transfer colleges in the state. Research indicates as many as 2,500 students transfer every year. The international student base is attractive to those seeking a diverse education and experience.

To that end, the school has developed the Puente Project to help those students who wish to transfer but need more education in that area. The word “Puente” is translated as “bridge,” and this program builds a bridge to further facilitate the further education desired. The individualized components of the program include English, counseling and mentoring. The students who complete the Puente Project transfer at a much higher rate than those who don’t.

For student life, De Anza is known for its annual flea market, which is held monthly. It’s become so popular the students treat it as a tradition. The De Anza Associated Student Body (DASB) utilizes the flea market as a fund raiser for various activities.

Distance education at De Anza College offers students the ability to complete their college degree while pursuing their career and personal endeavors. Online learning at De Anza College is convenient, flexible and affordable. Online courses employ live lectures, tests, web-based forums and streaming video.
