American Public University

The American Public University is the online learning institution of the American Public University System and is based in Charles, Town, West Virginia. It offers a variety of flexible online associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees. New classes start monthly so students can enroll at anytime of the year. Courses and programs are offered on a part-time (16-week) or full-time (eight-week) schedule.

The American Public University (APU) is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Its School of Business is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), and its Nursing program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

There are more than 90 degree programs, and more than 180 certification programs, available through American Public University.

American Public University offers more than 190 online degrees and online certificates. According to the Sloan Consortium, APU has some of the best practices in online education and is considered one of the best sources for students who need a highly flexible education.

Accreditation
American Public University is regionally accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCACS) . Its business program has additional accreditation status through ACBSP - the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at the American Public University System is also accredited through the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

Additional school affiliations exist with the American Sport Education Program, NSA's Information Assurance Courseware Evaluation, Society for Human Resource Management, and The National Council on Family Relations.
