The average salary of a psychological/criminal profiler ranges from about $35,000 a year on the low end to as high as $105,000, according to PayScale Inc., a global compensation data firm. The average salary of a psychological/criminal profiler depends in large part on experience of the profiler. According to a recent research report, profilers with less than a year of experience can expect a salary of $35,000 to $60,000 a year. With five to nine years of experience, the average salary of a profiler rises to $46,176 to $82,895. With 10 or more years in the field, a criminal profiler can expect to earn a salary of $59,780 to $106,125.
