University of West Florida

The University of West Florida (commonly called West Florida or UWF) is a public university in Pensacola, Florida. It is organized into three academic colleges: the College of Arts and Sciences (the largest of the colleges), the College of Business, and the College of Professional Studies.

The Princeton Review included UWF on its list of "Best Southwestern Colleges," and U.S. News & World Report designated it a second tier postsecondary institution in the category of "National Universities." UWF was also ranked 27th on the list of "Top 100 Best Buy Colleges," 16th on the list of "Best Southern Colleges," and 168th on the list of "Best Research Universities."

University of West Florida offers an online campus for students who are unable to attend a campus-based college program. Through UWF's online campus students can earn an undergraduate degree, graduate degree or certificate online, without ever setting foot on campus. Areas of study available online include nursing, information technology, social sciences, engineering technology, technical education, maritime studies, health sciences, political science, public health, reading, administration and intelligence analysis.

The University of West Florida is regionally accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
