Virginia College
Virginia College is a nationally accredited chain of post-secondary colleges located throughout the southeastern region of the United States. Virginia College is a private, for-profit institution offering degree, diploma, and certificate programs in career-specific fields, such as business, criminal justice, health and medical, office management, and information technology.Virginia College is owned and operated by Education Corporation of America (ECA), which is based in Birmingham, Alabama. In addition to Virginia College, ECA owns the Golf Academy of America; Ecotech Institute, which offers degree programs in energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainable design; Culinard, Virginia College's Culinary Institute; and Virginia College Online, which offers degree programs entirely online.
Students at Virginia College can pursue degrees in criminal justice, cosmetology, paralegal, health care, and network engineering. The college's network engineering courses are not accredited by ABET. Many of Virginia College's programs and courses are available online, via Virginia College Online.
Online degree programs at Virginia College are available to all students. Online degrees are designed for working adults, who due to their career obligations, are unable to attend a traditional campus-based college program. Through Virginia College's online degree programs students can attend whenever and wherever they choose.
