University of Washington School of Nursing

The University of Washington School of Nursing offers several nursing programs. Students can earn a Bachelor’s degree in nursing and cab become eligible to take the RN (Registered Nurse) licensure exam. The school also offers an accelerated Bachelor’s degree in nursing for students that have already earned a Bachelor’s degree in another field. Students completing this program are also eligible for the RN licensure exam. Another program offered at the nursing school is a modified four-quarter program specifically for licensed RNs to work toward a BSN. Th program, which is offered at both the Tacoma and Bothell campuses, prepares students to pursue an advanced degree in nursing.

The School of Nursing offers several advanced nursing degrees. Students can study toward a Master of Science (MS), Master of Nursing (MN), a Doctorate of Philosophy in Nursing Science (PhD) or a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP). Only licensed RNs will be admitted to the DNP program. Students in the MS and PhD program are not required to have RN licensure to apply.
