University of the Pacific

The University of the Pacific (also referred to as UOP or simply Pacific) is a private university offering a wide range of undergraduate and professional degree programs. Located in Stockton, California, Pacific is the oldest chartered institution of higher learning in the state.

Pacific is organized into six undergraduate colleges and schools, and three professional graduate schools. The undergraduate schools are: the School of Engineering, the School of International Studies, the School of Education, the School of Business, the School of Music, and the Liberal Arts College. UOP's professional graduate schools are: the School of Law in Sacramento, the School of Dentistry in San Francisco, and the School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Stockton.

There are over 100 academic programs and more than 60 undergraduate degree programs offered by the University of the Pacific. Pacific is the only private university in the country with an student body smaller than 10,000 students to offer degree programs from eight different academic schools.

The University of the Pacific was ranked the 99th best university is the country, a top tier institution for economic and ethnic diversity, and one of the top 40 "Best Value" colleges, by U.S. News & World Report. The university is well-known for its small class sizes, need based aid, low acceptance rate, and its undergraduate engineering school.

University of the Pacific offers online courses for those seeking to enrich their knowledge and skills through online learning. Degree completion programs are also offered to current students.
