Talladega College

Talladega College, which is located in Talladega, Alabama, is acknowledged as the oldest private historically black university in the state. The school is fully accredited by the Southern Association for Colleges and Schools (SACS). As regionally accredited institution, credits earned at Talladega can be transferred to any other regionally accredited higher education institution – which accounts for most major college and universities in the United States.

The Talladega campus is made up of several historical sites, with 32 buildings mentioned in the National Register of Historic Places. There are 17 main buildings on the 50-acre main campus. The main campus is situated on the outskirts of the city of Talladega. The campus is home to the Savery Library which houses a collection of thousands of publications. It has a state-of-the-art computer lab, an Archives room and several famous murals are found hanging on its walls.

Talladega offers a FASTtrack degree completion program in Organizational Management that can be completed in as little as 18 months. Degree programs are offered in business administration, humanities and fine arts, natural sciences, social sciences and education. Currently, the college does not provide online degrees or distance learning programs. Degrees and courses must be completed on campus.

The schools’ athletic programs, known as the Tornadoes, participate in NAIA Division II. The men’s sports are golf, soccer, basketball and baseball, while the women compete in volleyball, basketball and softball.
