Savannah College of Art and Design
Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) is a private university based in Savannah, Georgia. SCAD also has campuses in Atlanta, Georgia; Lacoste, France; and Hong Kong. Approximately 10,500 students study at SCAD each semester. These students come from all 50 United States, and from over 100 countries worldwide. Roughly 12% of SCAD's student body are international students.SCAD provides fine art training and degree programs. Students must complete courses in three areas of study: art foundations (fundamentals such as color theory, drawing, and design), liberal arts (science, English, math, and art history), and a chosen major (such as animation, sequential art, or graphic design).
Savannah College of Art and Design is regionally accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. SCAD's programs culminate in Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Master of Arts, Master of Arts in Teaching, Master of Urban Design, or Master of Architecture degrees. The college also offers numerous graduate and undergraduate certificates.

Savannah College of Art and Design offers a collaborate online environment and elearning system that enables students to effectively connect with professors, faculty and other students, and have a real world college experience—completely online. All online courses at SCAD are formatted according to 10-week schedule that coincides with SCAD campus courses. SCAD also offers blended-learning, which consists of a combination of online and campus-based courses.Online learning at SCAD is both synchronous and asynchronous. Some online courses and programs require students to attend online classes at a specific time, others allow students to participate in recorded classroom lectures at any time of the day or night. Online learning at SCAD is supported by the Blackboard learning management, one of the most popular and proven elearning software solutions.
