San Diego Miramar College

More than 12,000 students from varying backgrounds make up the enrollment at San Diego Miramar College, which is a two-year school housed in San Diego, California. The school is associated with the San Diego Community College District, which also works closely with San Diego Continuing Education, San Diego City College and San Diego Mesa College.

Students have the option of earning an associate’s degree, transfer to a four-year school or train for a new career. San Diego Miramar College was once a training campus for the city’s firefighters and law enforcement. Now the college hosts the San Diego Regional Public Safety Institute. Areas of study include paralegal, child development, biotechnology, business, advanced transportation and many more.

To meet the growing needs of its student body, San Diego Miramar College has new buildings for business, arts, math and humanities. Recent renovations have also updated technology buildings, aviation and advanced transportation. The Library Learning Resource Center covers more than 100,000 square feet. The Hourglass Field complex, for athletics, is a popular campus location.
