These careers offer lucrative pay and the opportunity to work with a variety of companies from restaurants to companies developing alternative energy. Companies are willing to hire inexperienced consultants because the senior staff at these firms provide their employees with data and strategies that can improve a company's management. However, some analysts claim management consulting companies provide their clients with only academic theories that do not have practical applications.
