Graduate Theological Union

The Graduate Theological Union (GTU) is a consortium of eight theological schools and various affiated centers located in the United States. Most of the consortiums schools are located in the city of Berkeley in the state of California. The Graduate Theological Union is ann affiliate of the University of California-Berkeley. The neighborhood where GTU is located has been nicknamed the "holy hill".

As part of its curriculum, GTU covers many subjects, including many traditional theological subjects. Areas of study include the arts, history, culture, philosophy, spirituality, and interdisciplinary studies. Degrees offered include the Master of Art, Master of Theology, Master of Divinity, Ph.D. and Th.D. Through a partnership with University of California Berkeley, GTU offer two joint Ph.D. programs in Near Eastern Studies and Jewish Studies. Through its partnership, GTU students may take courses offered at the University of California-Berkeley.
