Georgia Institute of Technology

The Georgia Institute of Technology (also called Georgia Tech, GT, or simply Tech) is a public university in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition to its main campus in Atlanta, Georgia Tech operates satellite campuses in Savannah, Georgia; Shanghai, China; Metz, France; Singapore; and Metz, France.

Georgia Tech's programs emphasize technology and science. The school is comprised of six colleges and 31 departments, and is particularly regarded for its programs in engineering, architecture, business administration, computing, liberal arts, and the sciences.

Georgia Tech serves a student body of over 20,000 undergraduate and graduate students. About half of these students are Georgia state residents, about 30% come from other U.S. states, and the remainder come from abroad.
