Evergreen Valley College

This community college is housed on 175 acres near San Jose, California. The school’s enrollment has reached 8,000 students and more than 70 countries are represented. To meet the needs of a growing enrollment, the school has taken advantage of bond measures to construct classrooms and labs for programs such as nursing education and biological sciences. A new library has also been built, as well as student life options, a new visual and performing arts center and the Montgomery Hill Observatory.

The distance education program at Evergreen Valley College offers various college credit courses for working adults and busy students who find it difficult attend campus on a regular basis. Formats of distance education include online courses offered via the Internet, videoconferencing, streaming video and other media and communication technologies.
