Cerro Coso Community College

Cerro Coso Community College is a community college in the Eastern Sierra region of Southern California. Founded in 1973, Cerro Coso is part of the Kern Community College District and serves students within an area of over 18,000 square miles. The college operates four campuses: the Kern River Valley Campus, the Eastern Sierra Campus, the Indian Wells Valley Campus, and the East Kern Campus. These campuses all offer two-year degrees via traditional classroom courses and online study.

Cerro Coso's Kern River Valley Campus is located in Lake Isabella, California. The Eastern Sierra Campus is Cerro Coso's newest facility, and offers general education and lower division courses designed to prepare students for transfer to a four-year institution, as well as career and technical training courses and personal enrichment courses. The Indian Wells Valley Campus is Cerro Coso's largest campus, and is located near Ridgecrest, California, in the upper Mojave Desert. The East Kern Campus is located at Edwards Air Force Base, and serves a student body of approximately 1,000 students.

Through CC Online, the virtual campus for Cerro Coso Community College, students can take courses from a distance. CC Online offer 16 accredited online associate degrees, 12 online certificates, and more than 150 standalone online courses. Online degrees at Cerro Coso are flexible, convenient and very affordable. Online degrees are ideal for working adults and busy students who are unable to attend campus full time.
