California Maritime Academy
The California Maritime Academy (also referred to as CMA, CSU Maritime, Maritime, or Cal Maritime) is the only maritime academy on the west coast, and one of only 7 maritime academies in the country. It is a member of the California State University system, and offers seven bachelor's degree programs and one master's degree program. Cal Maritime is located in Vallejo, California.Students of the California Maritime Academy are not required to join the armed services, although career and financial aid opportunities are available to students who choose to join any of the university's military programs.
Forbes magazine named Cal Maritime the 56th best university in the West, and the 293rd best university in the United States.
