California Baptist University
California Baptist University (CBU or Cal Baptist) is a regionally accredited, Christian, liberal arts university. Overseen by the California branch of the Southern Baptist Convention, CBU is based in Riverside, California, and is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).CBU was recently awarded the maximum accreditation reaffirmation by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges--a testament to the school's high quality standards.
CBU is a member of the Association of Independent California Colleges and Universities, the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities, the International Association of Baptist Colleges and Universities, the Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges, and the American Association of Higher Education.
Online Degrees at California Baptist University
California Baptist University, also known as CBU Online now offers many of its programs completely online, through its divistion of Online and Professional Studies (OPS). Online programs are becoming increasingly popular, especially among students with full-time jobs and/or family responsibilities who need flexible scheduling. Accreditations
California Baptist University is a regionally accredited institution with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). This means that any degrees or credits earned are transferrable to any other regionally accredited higher education institution in the United States, which includes most major colleges and universities.In addition to the school's regional accreditation through WASC, many of its programs hold specialized accreditations. Its business school is accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs. Its nursing school hold specialized accreditation status through the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Other accrediting bodies include the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM), the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC), and the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
