Brooks Institute

Brooks Institute (previously called Brooks Institute of Photography) offers only four majors at two for-profit campuses. The campus located in Santa Barbara, California offers two programs; the Masters of Fine Arts in Photography and the Professional Photography programs are available here. The other campus, found in Ventura, California offers the other two available programs; Design, Film and Video Production as well as Visual Journalism can be taken here.

In order to display the art created by its students, faculty, and alumni, Brooks also owns two art galleries, open to the public. Santa Barbara’s gallery is called Gallery 27, while the Visions Gallery is found in Ventura.

Brooks Institute is a fully, nationally-accredited college. Most four year institutions do not accept transfer credits from nationally-accredited schools, as they are regionally accredited. Students should not expect to be able to transfer credits earned at Brooks to earn a Bachelor’s degree elsewhere.
