Antioch University-Los Angeles

Antioch University Los Angeles (AULA) is a liberal arts school, a small non-profit private institution in Culver City, California. The parent school (Antioch University) was created in 1852 and has evolved into five campuses in the United States: Keene, New Hampshire; Seattle, Washington; Yellow Springs, Ohio; Santa Barbara, California and Los Angeles. The Los Angeles campus is conveniently located near the crossing of the 405 and 90 freeways and hosts around 1,200 students.

AULA does its part in the community by offering underprivileged adults school credit through the Bridge Program. This program allows low income adults to take free classes. These students can take advantage of other amenities, everything from tuition waivers to transportation and tutoring.

Formerly called the Community Humanities Education Program (CHE), the Bridge Program was created in 1999 by Shari Foos and David Tripp. It was patterned after the Clemente Course at Bard College, which also offered free classes to economically challenged students who may not have attended college otherwise.

Antioch University offers several of its Bachelor of Art degree completion programs entirely online. These online degrees are the same the university's campus-based programs in very regard. The curriculum is rigorous and challenging. Antioch also offers online hybrid courses which combine distance learning with campus-based study.

The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) has accredited Antioch University, and the institution has also earned membership of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA).
